Abstract

This thesis undertakes an in-depth exploration of the intersectionality of diverse ability theology and the Great Controversy motif, a theological framework emphasizing the cosmic struggle between good and evil. By critically analysing relevant theological literature and ecclesiastical practices, this research investigates how the Great Controversy motif influences church responses to individuals with diverse abilities. The study's key argument is that a theology of diverse ability informed by the Great Controversy motif can have profoundly positive implications for church practice. Specifically, it can promote inclusive and empowering practices that challenge stigmatizing narratives surrounding diverse ability.
