The relationship between Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit

Abstract

This thesis provides a study on the relationship between Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. In order to accomplish this, the historical-theological method of research was employed. In order to have an understanding of the historical facts on the subject, a historical study on the deity of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit was carried out. The main purpose was to have an understanding of the basis for the current belief on the Trinity, which holds that Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are equal with the Father. The historical development of this subject in the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church were also examined. Eventually, a biblical study was carried out on the ontological and economic relationship between Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It should be stated that Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are two different and distinguished persons of the Deity who, together with the Father, form the Triune God.
