Item A Srategy of improving Tithe giving: The case of Seventh-Day Adventist Churches in Talla Station, Democratic Republic of Congo(Adventist University of Africa, School of Postgraduate Studies, 2018-04) Duandro, John KatchurakiThe church members of Talla Station are not returning the tithe as expected because only 25% of members seem to render faithfully their tithe. The purpose of this study was to find a strategy for improving tithe giving in Talla station. The study has analyzed the question of tithe giving based on the Bible, according to the literature review, the Seventh-day Adventist church and Ellen G. White. The work is divided as follows: It starts with an Introduction to the work. The first chapter consisted of Review of Literature, the Second is a Description of the local setting, the third chapter is a development and an implementation of a design program and finally, the work ends with the Summary, the Conclusion and the Recommendation. A survey of other denominations views on tithing was done. A survey was submitted to church members by using a questionnaire. The results were analyzed to check how church members would appreciate returning tithe in kind. The results obtained were used to develop a strategy of improving tithe returning. The strategy was presented to church members through a seminar on tithing in kind. There was a seminar followed by a workshop that was organized for all church members of Talla Station. The implemented program of tithing in kind has contributed to an increase in the tithe. Then it was recommended that tithe in kind should be stressed in all the Talla station and in other stations of Kibali Ituri Mission.
